When I think of creativity, I can’t help but think of Megan. I was thoroughly impressed from the first time I browsed the pictures of her as a Cardassian on Facebook, and she has yet to stop impressing me yet. I attribute a lot of that to the fact that Crewman Martin makes her costumes by hand, herself.
She has been sewing for roughly 14 years, and has participated in costume competitions all over Texas and the United States– and she’s even been featured in the book “Cosplay in America”! She runs her own blog, entitled Mistress of Disguise, where she frequently posts about the costumes she makes, with detailed photos and event information, as well as tutorials and how-tos for those of you who are craving the same skillset. In fact, if I had to pick one bone with Megan, it would be that my wife has become something of a stalker, following everything that Megan posts! I can’t count how many times my wife has sat down at the computer and seen a picture of one of Megan’s latest projects and gone “Oooooo!”
Needless to say, she is someone that we’re certainly proud to include as a member of the Navras, and we look forward to every new project she comes up with. It’s energy and ambition like hers that makes the Navras the fun and exciting ship that it is, and I personally wouldn’t have it any other way.
